Thunderlooper was the first ride to open in what is now Forbidden Valley, back in 1989 though it was called Thunder Valley to go with the ride. Located on its own, Thunderlooper consisted of two hills connected by the station and a loop. The train would be winched backwards out of the station and up the first hill where it would be released and return shooting through the station and the loop before going up the second hill. Gravity would then take over slowing the train to a complete stop and then reversing the direction as it would go backwards through the loop and return to the station.
The ride sadly had to be removed from the park in 1995 due to the excessive noise it produced and breaking the parks ride height restriction meaning it could be seen from outside the park.
