ALTON TOWERS NET

UG Land is themed in a prehistoric setting where cave men still exist and live amongst the dinosaurs. The area first opened as UG Land in 1999 featuring Corkscrew, Dino Dancers and UG Swinger. Following this in 2001 Boneshaker was added to the area but by 2004 Dino Dancers and Boneshaker had gone, leaving Corkscrew, UG Swinger and UG Bugs behind.

For 2005 the area received a new coaster in the form of Rita: Queen of Speed, the UK's first coaster that would launch people from 0-100kph in 2.5seconds. However in some peoples opinion this ride has ruined the appearance of UG Land as it has been placed in the centre of the area, separating many of the rides and its trains theme's as car's don't really suit the cave man times theme of the area.
